There are many attractions and things to do in Gladstone these are some suggestions which are within walking distance to Kin Kora Village. We are situated close to Stockland shopping centre just a short walk past the golf course and you are there. There is an underpass to access the Lions Park, McDonald’s restaurant, Coles supermarket, and Kmart the Police Creek walk and Parkrun every Saturday morning.

Gladstone has many other attractions, its deep Harbour is surrounded by evergreen walking paths, many play areas including the East Shores waterfront park, a welcoming site for the Cruise Ships to dock at the New Terminal. This new site is now open, with barbecues, picnic tables, adventure play area and more. Included in the dock area is Auckland House, a Microbrewery offering great beer, food and scenery for bookings visit aucklandhouse.co.  The Feast on East Market create an exciting event when cruise ships come into Gladstone and not to be missed, For Dates. Tondoon Botanical Gardens is only a 6 minute drive from Kin Kora with beautiful gardens to stroll or visit the café.

Lions Park

Kin Kora Village is lucky to be a short stroll from the 3.6 million dollar unique Lions Park via a pedestrian under pass.  It's the first of its kind, designed as a sensory experience for people of all ages and abilities. In addition there are undercover picnic and barbecue areas, fitness incline, feature topiary, garden beds and solar lighting.

Police Creek Walk

It’s an easy stroll from Kin Kora Village along Police creek where you will discover diverse history and unique nature. Cross the creek via the original rail bridge where it reverts to its original name of “Auckland Creek” The creek is home to many fish, turtles, frogs and birds.. It supports a wide variety of plant life, which in turn plays an important role in the life of the creek.

Curtis Ferry
